Mrs Walsh worked very hard to display a collection of toys that were very kindly brought in by staff members and parents. As you can see, the display in the library looks fantastic.
On Monday 20th January, Jackie from the Wardown Park Museum brought in several boxes of toys for us to look at. She taught us how to identify whether a toy was old or new and we made a timeline and put all the boxes of toys in the correct place.
We were allowed to look in the boxes and play with the toys inside. Everyone had an amazing morning. Later on, we drew pictures of the toys and wrote about their differences and similarities. In Sycamore class we wrote about toys as part of our Information Text Literacy Unit.
The children in Sycamore Class wrote letters to Jackie saying thank you and we have sent a selection to her.
