The University of London is awarding honorary Bachelor of Education degrees to those teachers who, in the past, received their Teaching Certificates from former London colleges. Teaching Certificates were discontinued by the early 1980s after which, the equivalent degree course completion became a requirement.
Anne Copeland is one such student and last week she received her honorary degree. The University is recognising the invaluable contribution to teaching that this group has made – in Anne’s case a career spanning over 40 years!
Anne, previously a member of the teaching staff here at Studham Village CE Academy, now volunteers at the school weekly listening to our children read alongside leading our school choir throughout the academic year, preforming at numerous events both at school and in the wider community.
Well done Mrs Copeland from all of us here at Studham Village CE Academy xx
The Eco Schools Green Flag Award is a trusted sign of the good environmental practices that are happening at school and our commitment to protecting our planet.
The flag sits alongside Keep Britain Tidy's other prestigious sustainability awards; the Green Flag Award for Parks and the Blue Flag Award for Beaches. It is a recognised international award.
Well done everyone who helped our school obtain our ECO Green Flag!!!!
What a great time our Woodpeckers had camping under the Studham Stars!

We remember.....our school vista of stunning poppies, as far as the eye can see, is both beautiful and poignant today. During assembly our pupils learnt about and discussed D Day and how events unfolded on this historic day 80 years ago.
